Due to ongoing concerns around copyright and plagiarism, Inked and Feral does not accept AI-generated or AI-adjusted manuscripts or cover art at this time. We believe in honoring the integrity of human storytelling and creative labor.

What is the royalty breakdown for authors?

Authors retain 80% to 90% of royalties, depending on the level of publishing support provided by Inked and Feral. Each contract includes a five-year exclusivity clause, and royalty percentages are determined based on editorial, design, and promotional investment and are not set without the author’s approval.

How are ghostwriters paid and credited?

Ghostwriting projects are priced individually based on scope, genre, and timeline. Royalties are negotiated after project evaluation and formalized in a signed addendum. A typical breakdown might look like: 60% to the concept creator, 30% to the ghostwriter, and 10% to Inked and Feral for production and oversight.

How much creative control do authors have?

Authors retain full creative rights to their work. We collaborate closely to ensure your voice, vision, and values are honored throughout the publishing process. No changes are made without your approval.

Do manuscripts need to be censored or toned down?

We welcome emotionally complex, genre-bending, and boundary-pushing work. However, we do not publish content that promotes hate, harm, or violates legal standards. If you're unsure, we’re happy to review and discuss areas you are concerned about and find the best option for you and your manuscript.

What kinds of projects does Inked and Feral take on?

What deadlines should authors expect?

We’ll work with you to set realistic milestones and keep communication flowing. When it comes to deadlines those are determined during the communication in order to prevent timeline related writer’s block.

Can I purchase individual services instead of a publishing package?

We do offer à la carte services including editing, cover design, author bio setup, platform integration, and guides to help you publish your novel on your own. You can also build a custom publishing path that fits your goals and budget, however to publish your novel through us, you will need the publishing package.
